Benevolent AI - to make us think
by Administrator
The topic of AI gives us lots to wonder about. I am also interested in the benevolent use cases of AI. I believe it can make us think. Through this website I hope to illustrate that by slowing down your thinking and visualizing it, to help you think, perhaps more deeply. All good I believe. And as an educator at heart I am excited to make and develop this site. if it could only make you smarter.
I read this, then I read that, now I wonder.
Here we replace that with source documents and the wonder you do via questions answered by generative AI that is restricted to only use the source document..
note: the selected source documents can be replaced even the question.
note:
- Further experimentation possibly to compare these Q&A to non AI aided settings, whereby humans read the same source material and respond to the same questions.
- could be done via a cheap popup: If you are the person that is hype averse, and believes in her own ability to evaluate source material i challenge you to do so and compare your answer to the same question!
#FightingBrainrot.
Notebook LM (my inspiration and AI colleague) provides an interesting bonus by giving you question suggestions. Just to spark your deeper thinking or your creativity. (is it thinking along with you?)
when you pay close attention to the podcast techniques (is it human like. Understanding tone from text, Finding the curious bits the outliers that help direct the conversation, even the presentation, is full of AI directed emotion to capture the human attention. again human like? ) This is useful to garb attention that is so crucial for making people smarter.
----draft---below text still needs lots of work and development. just thinking out loud on my blog. making it visible

Here we replace that with source documents and the wonder you do via questions via chat. the big bonus here is that you get question suggestions just to spark your deeper thinking or your creativity.

& Benevolent AI, and MIS.
my kind of mindful ness. concentrate on your. thinking. your mind. audio intro from founder.
I like late night comedy. they find the humor based on what was said. to deliver important messages. firmly rooted in what was said. Here we also try to anchor our thinking on what we read. Tools for thought.
Visible Learning - John Hattie. I believe I can make learning visible and measurable with this. Asking of questions (what's going on in the mind of the learner, what is he curious about (after reading of sources). what would he like to learn something about (the question). Matching key concepts, and noting the key differences of sources to make persuasive writing. Extrapolations help spot the interesting part (the odd ones). As is explained in relationship to podcast formula with NotebookLM (manual vs AI, Gamification can you beat the computer with your arguments, debate club)
Visible learning exercise: write essay after you allow student to do his wondering (via chat). What was retained, no use of computer, no copy paste. (you select source documents)
What did the learner not know before and what does he demonstrate with his writing after in his essay.
The idea behind all this is to collect data for research (academic would be fun).
Effective SM campaigns were special attention to a hook, like Insta or tiktok, perfect to generate interest. But old fashioned book too. Their formula is to hook with curiosity.
e.g. the hook: God? is that you?(title) yes but don't worry, I am kind! (subtitle) All I ask is for you to listen to me when I think there is a better way to guide AI.
in a book; its page turning that proves engagement.
in SM its: Challenges, Slides, Swipes, Videos (continue watching).
its formulaic, its measurable!
Book (menu item on top of site could be: "old school"... perhaps to make some money): formula is: a non dynamic special attention to cover, and source document choice. Pick controversial topic with well supported sides... Note: the book does not re-tell the story its simply a set of questions in sequence to AI,... printed.
Simple campaign: who would not want to print their(!) book like that, just click, print. (x-mas gifts?, organizational suggested -vacation- reading?) or: What value do you add? why should we listen to you,... through the minds of your selected experts (influencers).
Which leader can resist the challenge? I wonder...
or blog like that (or SM campaign like that)
Teach ? I wonder...

will you share what you are wondering?
